How do you make a simple php slideshow that fades from one picture to the next?

Is there some simple code for this? I just want a slideshow that has no buttons, starts automatically, no thumbnails, fades from one pic to the next and loops continuously. I use dreamweaver and layers(don’t lecture me), so I’d like to be able to just drop it in a layer and move it to where I want it. Easy to update and maintain is also key since I will be changing the pictures frequently. Thank you so much!

I think you are expecting a little too much from php, it does not have access to client-side data.

I suggest you have a look around the internet for javascript image rotator scripts, my preference would be to use jQuery and a jQuery plugin called Cycle but of course it’s up to you :)
